Reviews and Ratings
I had a mixed experience at this hotel. While I loved the hot springs and the spacious, comfortable rooms with a great view of the volcano from the veranda, I felt like the place was a little run down and needed some upkeep. The hotel was overall fine, but there were some areas that could be improved.
I stayed at this hotel and found it to be in a great location, close enough to town but far enough to be peaceful. The rooms, while in need of renovation, offered a beautiful view of the volcano and were spacious with essential amenities. The service was a mixed bag, with friendly and helpful staff but some issues with attentiveness. Dining was decent but lacked some basics like a toaster. Overall, a good stay with a few areas that could be improved.
The hotel offers beautiful views of the volcano and wildlife, with clean and private rooms that are adorned with rocking chairs on the patio. However, the rooms are a bit outdated and small for families.
My stay at the hotel was a mix of privacy and noise, as the bungalow-style room felt very secluded but was affected by outside sounds. The room definitely needs some updating, though the private layout was nice. The service was a bit hit or miss, with some attentive moments but also instances where I had to request basic items. The location was stunning, surrounded by tropical plants and wildlife, including a rare sloth sighting, with the Arenal volcano adding to the picturesque setting. Dining was a pleasant surprise with fresh options, although some disorganization was noted.
I had a great stay at this hotel with fantastic views of Arenal Volcano. The location was perfect, with great rocking chairs facing the volcano. The rooms were really nice, offering great views and beautiful landscaped grounds, although could be labeled a little more clearly for easier navigation. The service was a bit lacking when it came to responsiveness and courtesy, but they eventually sorted out the issues. The hotel's location is well maintained, but can get damp at times. The dining options were good but could use more variety. Overall, a pleasant stay with a few minor hiccups.
I had an amazing stay with breathtaking views of Arenal Volcano from my room's covered porch. The location was convenient, but the rooms definitely need a remodel. The service was top-notch, although the dining experience was not as great as expected.
The hotel definitely needs a complete remodel, but looking out over good views and having a full view of the volcano popping its head out through the clouds during our stay was a pleasant surprise. The rooms could use better lighting, more comfortable bed pillows, blankets, and an update in the baths.
The hotel feels more like a cabin in the woods than a luxury resort, with its outdated Swiss ski chalet look. The power sockets were inconveniently placed, and the overall room appearance was not very appealing. Despite this, the service had its charming moments, although some interactions weren't the friendliest. The location, right in front of the Arenal Volcano, is perfect for day trips, yet some areas needed renovations. The dining offered a delicious Costa Rican traditional breakfast but was a bit on the simple side. Facilities were fine, though nothing extraordinary.
